Sviato Pokrovy October 16, 2022

October 16 signifies one of the most respected Feasts for Ukrainians and Plastuny – the Feast of the Protective Veil or Sviato Pokrovy. On this date, we gratefully accept protection from the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Her intercession on our behalf before the Lord.
On this occasion we also pay tribute to the valiant Ukrainian Kozaky, the warriors for freedom of UPA, as well as other heroes who fought for Ukraine’s freedom.

Today is a special celebration where several members will be recognized for their contributions to Plast in Australia and the Ukrainian community.
Chair of Plast Australia, Pl. Sen. Chrestyna Kmetj and Referent USP, Pl.Sen. Jarema Polatajko will join us to present the awards.
